Are you a highly motivated and innovative teacher? Do you love mathematics?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and talented teacher to join our dedicated and rapidly expanding Mathematics team.

The Mathematics Department is based in the new teaching building, which opened in September 2021 and boasts a state-of-the-art learning environment.

The Mathematics Department runs smoothly and our students achieve well. Our core purpose is to enable our learners to achieve their full potential by igniting their curiosity and determination. The department offers a full mathematics curriculum, including Further Maths at both GCSE and A Level, and teachers are expected to be able to teach across Key Stages 3 to 5.

We welcome applications from creative and dynamic teachers who can contribute to this vision. Although the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellent teaching and learning, we also welcome applications from ECTs.

The main campus for TWGSB is in Tunbridge Wells. However, you may be required to work at other campuses connected to TWGSB.

We are currently undergoing a period of transformational change benefiting from a multi-million pound investment in Tunbridge Wells and a brand new building at our Sevenoaks campus, which opened in September 2021. From September 2025 Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys will be one of the largest boys’ grammar schools in the country. Here we all share the same vision: ‘To be the best selective boys’ school in West Kent’ and our journey towards achieving this continues to be an exciting one.

We can offer you the opportunity to work with highly able young people in a supportive, well-equipped and forward-thinking school. We offer a friendly and inclusive working environment and the chance to be part of a fantastic multidisciplinary team, who work hard and support each other to deliver personalised, bespoke education and care.

Staff benefit from a positive working environment, with strong support for professional development and specialist teaching rooms. We aim for high standards and the pursuit of academic excellence, helping every student to reach their full potential through the development of skills, concepts and knowledge, within the framework of a caring community. Relationships between staff and students are based on trust, mutual respect and a determination to succeed.

Please note that we will only accept CVs that are accompanied by an application form (see below). We shall review applications as we receive them so apply early! We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role.
