An exciting position has arisen at TWGSB for a suitably skilled, reliable and self-motivated Facilities Assistant to join our friendly and well-respected Facilities team. This role will involve working at both campuses.
This position will be responsible for assisting in the maintenance, cleaning and caretaking activities at the school, as directed by the Facilities Manager and Senior Facilities Assistant. The post-holder will be expected to have experience in building maintenance, cleaning and skills in a number of site maintenance disciplines.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible and self-motivated, have good communication skills and a good understanding of the Health and Safety requirements of a large site. Previous experience of working in a school would be advantageous but is not essential. There will be a need for good time management, to prioritise duties and work on their own initiative. The successful candidate will ensure our school site is maintained to the highest standard that will offer all our children the best learning environment both indoors and out.
A typical working pattern for this position will be 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday working across both campuses where required. Shiftwork may be required when covering holiday and any sickness.
Any overtime hours will be paid at the appropriate rate. This is an all-year-round full-time post, 37 hours per week, 28 days holiday.
