We are looking for an enthusiastic Science Technician to join our team, working across all three Science specialisms, starting asap.
The role will be required to work across all three Science specialisms and support the teachers in the delivery of the curriculum within lessons. They will assist in the maintenance and preparation of the classrooms, apparatus and materials for staff and students, with a view to supporting safe, effective and efficient teaching and learning.
A Science qualification to at least A Level or equivalent is essential, and technician or laboratory experience would be desirable. The successful candidate will have the technical competence required for preparing and ordering of materials, as well as maintaining machines and equipment. They will have previous experience working with children, have strong organisational skills and have the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
The Science department runs smoothly and our students achieve well across Key Stages 3 to 5. Our core purpose is to fully engage all our students and ignite their curiosity and determination so they can achieve their full potential. Staff benefit from a positive working environment with strong support for professional development and three specialist laboratories within a science area comprising 11 laboratories, fully equipped for high-quality teaching and learning. We are a department of ten.
