Residential fieldwork trip to the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, open to Year 11 Geology GCSE students. Following previous very successful field trips, we are returning to the PGL Centre at Osmington Bay where we will be able to study the Jurassic beds on their own private beach. We will also visit the Isle of Portland to look at the limestone beds and rock extraction, and the area of Lulworth Cove to study the effect of geology on coastal erosion, as well as taking a closer look at the folded structures at Durdle Door.
