Why join the TWGSB Alumni

The Alumni has been formally operating since 1997 and has been responsible for organising a number of social events for Old Boys and both current and ex-staff alike - all of which have been warmly received by those attending.

We are always glad to hear from any Old Boy, Girl or staff member who would like to re-establish contact with the School. If anybody has any misgivings about doing so, then maybe this page will help you reconsider.

Some of the replies given to our Committee members when they approach Old Boys to determine interest in the Association and its activities have been along the lines of '...well, it has been a long time since I left and I won't know anybody if I make a return visit...' or even 'I didn't particularly enjoy my time at school and I couldn't wait to leave the place !'. Those who have made the effort in the past to attend reunions have largely been pleasantly surprised to find how their attitudes have changed towards those who could at one time have been described as adversaries during schooldays and to re-acquaint themselves with people who they hadn't seen for many years and make new friends during these visits. Indeed, the Association Committee consists of members who left the school over a large range of years who, initially, did not know each other but have now become firm friends through their involvement with the Old Boys Association.
