This page will contain information about the EXTERNAL Examinations (e.g. GCSE, AS, GCE exams) for the Summer series 2024. Please note there is a JCQ requirement that all students must make themselves available until the exams contingency day – Wednesday 26th June 2024. This is in case of exceptional circumstances that require an exam to be rescheduled.
During the exam season or immediately afterwards, students may apply for special consideration if they feel there are circumstances that have had an adverse effect on their performance in an exam. Applications must be made by the student him/herself and not parents/carers. This is to comply with JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) regulations.
The JCQ has reduced the minimum requirement for special consideration where a student has missed part of their A Level or GCSE exams. Students are eligible for special consideration if they have completed 15% of the total assessment for the subject award. Click HERE to apply for special consideration.
