We are seeking to appoint a Lead Practitioner to further strengthen our Science department, commencing in January 2025.

Main purpose
  • The primary role of a Lead Practitioner is to model exemplary teaching and lead the improvement of teaching and learning across the school                                          
  • They will lead on the improvement of teaching skills through modelling high-quality teaching, coaching and training other members of staff.

The Science department runs smoothly and our students achieve well across Key Stages 3–5. Our core purpose is to fully engage all our students and ignite their curiosity and determination so they can achieve their full potential. The Science department has 11 laboratories, all fully equipped for high-quality teaching and learning; we are further supported by three technicians. We teach the AQA and OCR syllabus in KS4 and KS5.

The successful candidate will be offered a full programme of support and development in order to continue to progress their career, including line management guidance, supported by the Head of Science and an Assistant Headteacher.

The main campus for TWGSB is in Tunbridge Wells. However, you will be required to work at other campuses connected to TWGSB.
