Music Trip to Lodge Hill, Pulborough
The Music Department organises an annual three-day residential course for instrumentalists and singers. This trip is very popular and we invite students from Years 7 - 9 to attend. This is a great opportunity for musicians of all levels to develop their skills and beginners are also encouraged to apply. The focus of the course is on music making and composition; however, there is some free time for team building activities as well, providing a perfect opportunity for the boys to make new friends. Much of the work is also be showcased in our Christmas concert.
The course usually runs from Wednesday to Friday mid October at the Lodge Hill Centre in Pulborough. This centre has outstanding facilities and all meals are included. The comfortable rooms are made up of 2, 3 or 4 beds. Fifteen bath and shower rooms are spread over three levels of the complex. All bedding is provided for guests, but boys need to bring their own towels and toiletries. We travel by coach, leaving at around 10am on Wednesday morning and returning to school by 3.30pm on Friday.
The cost of the course is £135 (2017 cost). A maximum of forty-seven places are available and three of the School’s staff will attend to run the programme. If the number of applications exceeds forty-seven, a ballot will be taken to allocate the places.
