Teen Tech Finals at the Royal Society

Three teams of students from Tunbridge Wells Grammar School for Boys entered this year’s Teen Tech Awards and we are thrilled to announce that one team is through to the finals to be held at the Royal Society at the end of June 2016. This is a great achievement for the boys who competed nationally to reach the final for their chosen category, Safety and Security: Thomas Rowley, 15, and Cameron Wardrop, 15, have designed an innovative dual-purpose life jacket and are working with help from the Royal Navy to further develop their idea. All three teams have been recognised by TeenTech’s CEO, Maggie Philbin, for their considerable efforts in developing design ideas. TeenTech was founded by Tomorrow’s World presenter Maggie Philbin, to allow students aged 11-18 to explore different industries and career possibilities in the Science, Technology and Engineering industries.
