Headteacher's End of Term Newsletter
29 March 2018
Dear Parents and Carers
What an incredibly busy term it has been, you will be aware that exam season is well and truly upon us. Students and staff are working exceptionally hard as we approach formal external exams. Revision is essential over the Easter break,
Year 11 and Year 13 students all have subject specific information to aid their revision process.
Myself and the governing body have now met three times with KCC and architects regarding the expansion plans. Staff are contributing to the process as we move the negotiations towards obtaining the best outcome for the school. As soon as the process allows we will share those plans with the wider school community.
You will be aware from the last newsletter that I was about to interview and appoint for the positions of Deputy Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher. The panel was delighted at the exceptionally high calibre of candidate and I am thrilled to announce and welcome our newly appointed leadership team members:
Lorrae McCullagh and Michael Crow join us as Deputy Headteachers and Carolina Fernandez and Katy Farrell as Assistant Headteachers. I would like to congratulate all of them on their appointments. For the three ‘new to the school’ members of the team – a very warm welcome to TWGSB. By the May half term all three new leadership team members will be in place.
Have a lovely Easter break.
Thank you for your continued support.
Amanda Simpson, Headteacher
