Headteacher's Christmas End of Term Newsletter
20th December 2017
Dear Students, Parents and Carers
How quickly time has flown since the beginning of the academic year and we find ourselves at the Christmas break. As always we have managed to pack a huge amount into the last seven and a half weeks, much of which is highlighted in this edition of the newsletter. (click here to read our newsletter)
I was delighted to see such overwhelming support for the Christmas Fair, a fantastic event run by the PTA. To everyone that made this happen and supported the event, thank you. Another highlight was the Christmas concert; watching our students stand on stage and perform with such confidence was a real privilege. Well done to all involved.
Since arriving in September, staff have worked incredibly hard as we continue to drive the school forward. I would like to publicly thank each one of them for their unwavering commitment and for the contribution they make to TWGSB.
On this note, you will be aware that Mr Marsh is retiring. Over the past 20 years (and four months), Mr Marsh’s contribution to the school has been invaluable, he is the consummate professional and has a genuine passion for TWGSB. He will be greatly missed by both staff and students and we wish him a joyful retirement. Thank you, Mr Marsh for all you have done and achieved at the school.
On behalf of all the staff at TWGSB, I would like to wish you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas. Thank you for your continued support.
Amanda Simpson, Headteacher
