The U16 badminton team won the West Kent section of the Centre Parks National Schools Badminton Tournament and will now play Simon Langton GS in the Kent final.

On Wednesday 9th December 2009 the TWGSB Football 1st XI clinched the East Kent Premier League title, a competition for secondary schools across Kent, with an impressive 2-0 away win at Dover GS.

On Monday 7 December, the school hosted, for the first time, the prestigious Mace debating competition. The Schools Mace has been encouraging the discussion of controversial topics and current affairs since 1957.

The Eco-Club planted two apple trees on Saturday, 5th December, as part of the BBC Breathing Spaces “Tree O’ Clock” initiative to beat the world record for the most trees planted across a country in one hour.
