TWGSB has won, at their first attempt, the Global Maths Challenge run by the international maths education website mangahigh.com. The site is headed by TV personality and mathematician Professor Marcus du Sautoy.

Billy Harris accelerated our innings superbly scoring 50 runs not out, off 21 balls to ensure we set a challenging target. He then bowled a wicket maiden at the start of their reply, and with two further catches – one of them a smart and important one diving upwards to dismiss their Kent batsman - he was my man of the match.

Year 12/13 reading mentors
Sixth Form reading mentors enjoy a lunch with their mentees. Over the past year several Yr12s and 13s have been acting as reading mentors during their free periods.

TWGSB First Eleven won their first league match convincingly against a strong Cranbrook side. All in all it was a very pleasing start to the season.

TWGSB Golf Players
Ten players contested the 12-24 handicap category on a bright but windy day! Three players tied on 36 points (Charlie Beale, Rob St Pierre and Tim Sutton) and with George Kavanagh a point back this was an excellent and competitive tournament.

Adam Kirkham, Nathaniel Sillett, and Craig Gazzard have been chosen to represent TWGSB in The Royal Society of Chemistry's Analytical competition at the University of Greenwich on Wednesday 27st April 2011.
