At the half way mark Hawks were languising near the bottom of the leaderboard but then in a remarkable turnaround (after some great track events) finished as winners. The picture shows Mr Mason presenting the cup to the Hawks Captain.

ESAA Championships
Ed Hall continued his hugely successful season with an individual 6th place finish in the Inter Boys’ 400m at the English Schools’ Track & Field Championships at Gateshead.

Ed Hall came within 5/100th of a second of claiming an outstanding 400m/200m Intermediate Boys’ double at the Kent Schools’ Championships in atrocious conditions.

Egg-Lander
7K were given an extended project to build an egg-lander, based on the ‘Mars Pathfinder’. All pupils produced fantastic models and prizes were awarded to the egg lander with the best scientific design.

TWGSB has won, at their first attempt, the Global Maths Challenge run by the international maths education website mangahigh.com. The site is headed by TV personality and mathematician Professor Marcus du Sautoy.
