The PTA run a number of events each year with the primary aim of fundraising. Key projects we have been delighted to support in the last few years include contributing £45,000 to refurbish science laboratories, £40,000 to the 3G Sports surface and providing air conditioning for the library and other rooms.
Happily, all this fundraising involves having a lot of fun at our events, where we contribute to the social life of the school and our wider community.
A Warm Welcome
We are delighted to welcome you to our PTA events and meetings. Events will vary from year to year, but this year include a New Parents Cheese and Wine Evening, our 60th Anniversary Ball at Salomon’s Estate, our lively Quiz Night and busy Christmas Fair.
We are lucky to have a strong well organised PTA. There is an opportunity to play a part in supporting the social events in the school and to meet other parents. The Headteacher or a senior member of staff attends each meeting and ideas are pooled in a friendly atmosphere. Full PTA meetings are generally held in the school library roughly once every two months. Dates of meetings are listed in the school calendar. All parents/carers are very welcome to attend.
The PTA committee are supported by teams of volunteers to help run individual PTA events. We appreciate that while not everyone will have time to spare throughout the year, they may be able to help out for a few hours now and again. If this could be you, please email us, all support is enthusiastically received.
