In order to ensure all students have a chance to be successful we insist on a minimum level of performance at GCSE. You should obtain at least 48 points from your best eight GCSE grades. As a selective school, we would hope that our students would achieve nothing less than a 5 in any remaining GCSEs. Students wishing to study Mathematics at A Level must have a minimum of Grade 7 at GCSE. For other subjects at least a Grade 6 is required in the subject the student wishes to study at A Level or in a closely related subject for those subjects that are new to the curriculum in the Sixth Form. Thursday 9th November 2023	Sixth Form Open Evening for internal and external students. THE RECORDINGS FOR THIS EVENT WILL BE UPLOADED TO THIS PAGE SHORTLY. Thank you for your patience.
Friday 10th November 2023	Straw poll opens (for internal students only) Internal students ONLY are asked to complete the school's online straw poll to express an interest in the subjects they would like to study in the Sixth Form. The school will then use this information to build the option blocks, so it is important that they make informed choices at this stage.
Friday 24th November 2023	Deadline for straw poll (internal students only)
Tuesday 5th to Thursday 7th December 2023	TWGSB Year 11 Parents' Evening
Monday 11th December 2023	Sixth Form Applications Open ALL applications to be made directly to TWGSB using the online link provided below. Current Year 11 TWGSB students will receive an email with all their login details and then simply need to select their A Level choices. External applicants will need to create a new application, then complete a series of sections to provide us with the relevant information. During their online application students are asked to choose three A Levels (or four, if selecting Further Maths and Maths as two of their A Level options) from the subjects listed below. Please note that each subject must come from a different column as the columns reflect the timetable that has already been put in place. APPLY HERE NOTE: We do not accept applications through KentChoices. Please do NOT apply through KentChoices – applications must be made via the TWGSB online link above.
Friday 2nd February 2024	Deadline for Sixth Form Applications
Friday 1st March 2024	Conditional offers of places issued to internal applicants and emailed to external applicants
Friday 15th March 2024	Deadline for acceptance of conditional offer (internal and external applicants)
Thursday 22nd August 2024	GCSE Results Day
	Offers to those who have indicated an interest but not received a conditional offer normally made by the end of August.

If you are an external applicant, upon receipt of your application form, contact will be made with your school to request predicted examination grades.

Our oversubscription criteria will be applied to external students who are predicted to achieve our baseline entry criteria and places will be allocated based upon their stated subject choices.

Applications received after the deadline date will not be considered for the initial round of offers. However, applications received after this date will be kept and should places open up after the GCSE results, additional offers may be made.
