The Sixth Form has approximately 350 students on roll, the majority of whom have come through the school. External entrants join the school each year many of whom are female students.
Our aim is to provide a wide range of A level courses and to support students in their studies whilst providing the opportunity to contribute to the varied co-curricular life of the school. At the heart of the Sixth Form lies a strong system of pastoral care; students are assigned to a Form tutor who will be on hand to advise them in planning for their future and will also offer pastoral guidance.
In the Sixth Form teachers will treat students as adults, responsible for their own learning and success. While students will receive a great deal of support, they are expected to demonstrate qualities of self-motivation and diligence, commit themselves to their chosen course of study and contribute to the general life of the whole school.
